We’re officially on the road to Summerslam! After Sunday’s awful Battleground PPV, I was hoping WWE would give us some good programming to make us forget about that event and get us all hyped for Summerslam in four weeks. Did they? Read on!
Sami Zayn vs. Mike Kanellis Holy crap in a hat, Batman. What an awful, awful show. I feel bad for the talent because they’re not the ones fully in control of the matches, the outcomes, or the story lines and they have to work with what they are given. Last night, many weren’t given much.
I know, I know…I didn’t do a recap last week. I wasn’t feeling either show and mentally, I needed a little break from writing about wrestling. This week, Raw was pretty good except a few spots (one major) and Smackdown Live was the go-home show for this Sunday’s Battleground PPV.
The event on paper looked pretty damn good and I think the event lived up to being a good PPV. Most of the matches lived up to expectations and I felt the event was a good time! Here are the results with my thoughts!
Another week of WWE programming has come and gone. We’re getting close to the Raw PPV, Great Balls of Fire in less than two weeks and Smackdown had to right a wrong after their Money in the Bank PPV. How did the programs fare this week?
After a garbage week of WWE programming and disappointing Money in the Bank PPV last Sunday, WWE really needed to step up their game. Maybe expectations were really low but I think WWE really delivered this week!
