I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older, but the build to this year’s Wrestlemania has been a dud for many of the matches on the card.

Sami Zayn vs. Mike Kanellis Holy crap in a hat, Batman. What an awful, awful show. I feel bad for the talent because they’re not the ones fully in control of the matches, the outcomes, or the story lines and they have to work with what they are given. Last night, many weren’t given much.

My expectations are actually pretty low for this PPV besides one or two matches. Sometimes that’s a good thing because it makes me come away from an event feeling fulfilled and not disappointed. Let’s see what this card looks like on paper.

This is the third PPV for WWE in six weeks. It almost seems like overkill but the fan in me enjoys having the option to watch more wrestling on Sunday nights.

I didn’t do my weekly report on Raw and Smackdown last week because I thought both shows were boring and nothing really happened to progress anything. The pre-taped UK shows are always like that and they are just never must see TV.

I’m skipping my usual Raw/Smackdown thoughts feature this week as Raw was complete filler and Smackdown wasn’t too much better. I feel WWE has been treading water to get to this PPV just so they can really get down to the brand extension stories.
