I’m not doing a whole Raw/Smackdown Live reflection this week as I can tie Raw‘s “go home show” with my predictions and state a few quick notes on Smackdown Live before I go into what I think will happen this Sunday at Great Balls of Fire.
Ever since WWE went PG and tamed down their product, “Extreme” just isn’t “extreme” anymore. The same can be said about Hell in a Cell. Without the blading/blood spots, it isn’t the same and just tame.
Both Raw and Smackdown launched some new feuds or added to the heat this week to ones that were teased or are recent. I found both shows to be a really good reset after the Payback PPV and heading into the next Smackdown PPV, Backlash in less than two weeks.
I don’t know if I’m getting surlier as I get older or if I just reflect too much on what WWE SHOULD be doing instead of enjoying WHAT they’re doing but this year’s Wrestlemania is probably the least anticipated in my books in a long time.
