The Simpsons – Lego Mini Figures Series 2

The other day I posted my pics of Series One of these figures. So, without any further delay, here are the pics of who is featured in the Lego Simpsons Series 2! They were still blind bag figures and they were released in 2015.

Homer Simpson in Sunday Outfit

Homer in Church Outfit

Homer in Sunday Outfit

Homer is dressed up for church, or one of his nights out with Marge. He comes with a box of chocolates.

Marge Simpson in Sunday Outfit

Marge is also all dressed up for church or a night out. She comes with a purse and some flowers.

Bart Simpson as Bartman

Bart as Bartman

Bart as Bartman

Bart comes as the masked “Bartman” who vandalizes and creates mischief in Springfield.

Lisa Simpson in Sunday Outfit

Lisa in Church Outfit

Lisa with Snowball II

Another Sunday/church-type outfit for Lisa. At least she comes with Snowball II.

Maggie Simpson with Santa’s Little Helper

Maggie with Santa’s Little Helper

I’m sure Lego could have just put Santa’s Little Helper in the blind bag and called it a day. Maybe some of you may think the same for Snowball II, but I’m glad another we have another Maggie.

Patty Bouvier

Patty Bouvier

Patty Bouvier

One of Marge’s irritating sisters comes with a purse. I think that’s kind of a boring accessory for a boring character.

Selma Bouvier

Selma Bouvier

Selma, the other of Marge’s twin sisters, comes with an eye chart to use at the DMV. Why they didn’t include the eye chart with Patty and place Jub Jub with Selma is a confusing choice.

Waylon Smithers

Good old Mr. Smithers comes with a new Malibu Stacy (WITH NEW HAT!) mint in box to pay homage to all us collectors that collect the same sort of thing.

Edna Krabappel

Edna Krabbapel

Edna Krabappel

I love that Edna comes with a picture of Woodrow Wilson (OK, it’s Gordie Howe) from the excellent episode, “Bart the Lover.” Homer and the swear jar mini plot is one of the best ever, but the main plot actually tugs on the heart strings.

Dr. Julius Hibbert.

Dr. Hibbert

Dr. Hibbert

Dr. Hibbert comes with an X-Ray from  the episode, “HOMR.” You can’t help but look at Dr. Hibbert and do his patented laugh.

Comic Book Guy

Comic Book Guy

Comic Book Guy

I love that they did Comic Book Guy for this line but I find his head doesn’t match the large body he should have. He’s just on a standard Lego buck piece, but I think for this one, they should have made an exception to the rule. Gotta love the Squishee he comes with!

Hans Moleman

Hans Moleman

Hans Moleman

Poor Hans Moleman. He never gets a break. “Good Mo’ Man to you in the moring!” Those eyes just say, “hug me.”

Groundskeeper Willie

Groundskeeper Willie

Groundskeeper Willie

Is there any best line for Willie? I don’t think there is. A top 5 could be debated for years. At least he comes ready to work, like usual, with a plunger.

Professor Frink

Professor Frink

“GLAVIN!” One of Springfield’s smartest scientist, yet not so smart in other areas of life, comes with a beaker that you could imagine has anything he has come up with in the show.

Milhouse Van Houten as “Fallout Boy”

Milhouse as Fallout Boy

Milhouse as Fallout Boy

I’m surprised that they actually made two Milhouse figures already. There are so many other characters they could have put in before this variant. It’s probably only because he’s the offset character to Bartman.

Martin Prince Jr.

Martin Prince

Martin Prince Jr

So many great lines. So many great wedgies. Such a polarizing character.  I think Martin turned out well in figure form, but I have no idea why they made his accessory book so large.

There they are: Lego Simpsons Series 2.  Hope you enjoyed the pictures and the quick write-ups on each. I’m not sure it they’re going to do a Series 3. I really do hope so, but with the price of each of the blind bags (here in Canada, they’re $4-$5 bucks and f’n tax) AND the only two environements to build (The Simpson Family House and the Kwik-E-Mart) are $220/$230 Canadian dollars as of writing this – EACH – makes it a huge pill to swallow for collectors. Here’s hoping for at least one more series and if they were going to go out with a bang, I’d like to see either Springfield Elementary or the Nuclear Power Plant as their next set (that way we could get Lenny and Carl, guaranteed….not a guarantee!)
